Why do I feel Anxious, Angry or Low in Mood?

When feeling anxious, angry or low in mood Ayurveda explains there is an underlying imbalance that is giving rise to these experiences that can be addressed to help you restore ease again. You may have noticed that you have a tendency to feel more anxious, or to get angry more easily or to feel low in mood more often. Although we can all feel these feelings at one time or another, our dominant dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) or mind-body type gives us a tendency to move in one direction more easily than another.
How Vata influences mood
If Vata dosha is dominant in you, should you find yourself tired or stressed, Vata Imbalance may occur giving rise to fear, anxiety, worry and indecision. You may experience difficulty going to sleep, poor memory and a variety of other physical signs of Vata imbalance such as constipation, cold hands and feet, dry skin, irregular appetite and digestion, bloating, gas and fertility issues. Times of stress will increase these feelings and symptoms of imbalance. If this sounds familiar, addressing the underlying imbalance of Vata dosha will help return your positive and enthusiastic nature.

Take 2 tablets of Stress Relief prior breakfast and evening meals and 1-2 tablets of Worry Free tafter breakfast and evening meals. Also sip Worry Free Tea or Vata Tea every 30 minutes throughout the day.
How Pitta influences mood
If Pitta dosha is dominant in you, should you find yourself living life on the edge, driven, intense, intolerant of delays, finding you don’t suffer fools easily, it is likely that your Pitta qualities have become aggravated or imbalanced. As Pitta dosha governs digestion and metabolism you may find an increased tendency for acid reflux or an increased appetite or thirst. This increased heat Ayurveda explains can increase heat or inflammation in the duodenum, blood, liver, spleen, heart and brain.
This intensity can cause a Pitta person to burn out before achieving their goals and is behind the tendency to wake in the night and find it difficult to go back to sleep. So if this sounds familiar to you then consider adopting the following recommendations to help soothe and balance the Pitta dosha within you.
Choose Pitta balancing food and drink>
Adopt a Pitta balancing daily routine>
Take 1 dessertspoon of MA 3323 before breakfast and evening meals and 2 tablets of Stress Free Emotions after breakfast and evening meals. Sip Tranquilitea or Pitta tea every 30 minutes throughout the day. If you experience indigestion or acidity take Aci Balance 1-2 tablets after eating.
How Kapha influences mood
If Kapha dosha is dominant in you, should you find yourself feeling sluggish, dull and lethargic in the morning with low energy, possibly overweight or craving sweet or oily foods, Kapha dosha may be out of balance within you. If so, then consider adopting the following recommendations to help stimulate and balance the Kapha dosha within you.
Choose Kapha balancing foods>
Adopt a Kapha balancing daily routine>
Take 2 tablets of Congest Assist prior breakfast and evening meals and 1-2 tablets of Blissful Joy after meals. Drink 3-4 cups of Kapha Tea daily.
As the qualities of Vata, Pitta and Kapha become balanced within you, feelings of anxiety, anger and low mood will automatically diminish as your natural tendency when in balance is restored.
Wishing you the bliss of balance this week and always.
