Protection from pollens
Author: Linda Sinden Date Posted:3 September 2018
Over the last week clients have become concerned about runny noses, scratchy eyes and mentally feeling a little cloudy. Some have experienced headaches that don’t seem to lift.
These are signs that the pollens of spring are beginning to be felt, as an over-taxed immune system delivers false alarms in response to harmless substances like flower pollens and blades of grass.
Such symptoms are more likely to occur and are more uncomfortable when there is a build-up of impurities that tax your immune system. This is exacerbated at the start of Spring when the body naturally undergoes an internal cleanse.
-
If you, a family member, friend or colleague react to pollens or spring growth with an allergic reaction take Aller Defence tablets two to three times daily. Clients who have taken Aller Defence have found it particularly effective.
Aller Defence tablets help to strengthen your body’s natural immunity to allergens. This effective formula helps reduce sensitivity to pollens and grasses, supports liver function, cleanses impurities and boosts cellular nutrition and performance. It is effective when symptoms are present and is often taken one month before the season begins.
How to support your immune system
-
Reduce the build up of impurities also called ama within you with a Spring Clean> Ama refers to anything that has not been properly digested in the physiology and can be caused by poor diet, weak digestion, consumption of alcohol, nicotine and drugs or environmental toxins. Completing a spring clean internally helps to reduce the load of impurities within and reduces the load on your immune system. This allows your immune system to be less reactive and more intelligent in its assessment of friend or foe.
-
Digest your food well to avoid the build up of ama
The first stage of ama development is usually due to eating unsuitable foods or eating at inappropriate times, such as before bed or when the previous meal has not been digested.-
Favour Kapha balancing foods as Kapha qualities are strongest during spring.
-
Eat a good lunch and a light evening meal by 6.30 pm.
-
Avoid meat, cheese and eggs for breakfast and after 2pm - they are heavy to digest.
-
Favour an easy to digest diet of fresh, organic food with a reduction in acidic, sour and salty foods.
-
Sip warm boiled water every 15-30 minutes through the day.
-
Avoid alcohol and stimulants.

Digestive Support
-
Take Agni Balance to kindle the fire of your digestion prior eating. It is a combination of the well known herbal digestives of ginger, black pepper and white pepper.
-
In addition prior the evening meal also take 2 tablets of Digest Tone to reduce ama from your evening meal.
-
15-30 minutes after eating take Digest Plus to support full and complete digestion and metabolism.
-
At bedtime take 1-2 tablets of Digest Tone to help eliminate impurities.
-
-
Have a daily walk
Having a 30 minute walk each day is an excellent way to support cellular cleansing, energise the mind and body and support your immune health.
-
Adopt a regular bedtime, ideally by 10pm.
Then wake early and have an early morning walk while the sun is rising! This simple habit of an early morning walk makes the whole day go so much better.
Wishing you the bliss of balance
